Terria, a single mother of a college student and a junior, in high school. She has been awaiting a double organ transplant surgery for 7 years. She has been obedient and earnest in her wait. She anticipated a change following the surgery, but she was unaware that her whole life would be altered beforehand as well. Doctors instructed her that in order to be placed on the list she needed to shed a substantial amount of weight along with adopting a cleaner way of eating. Since 2018 she has been required to undergo dialysis three times a week. Due to the harshness and adverse effects of dialysis on her body she has not been able to maintain her previous work hours, causing significant financial strain. After a prolonged wait she was recently blessed with what she thought was going to be her life changing surgery. She was cleared for surgery on August 7th. She received a call to come to Texas for the surgery on August 9th. However despite traveling to Texas on such short notice the surgery was cancelled due to the organs not being a perfect match. Upon completion of the surgery she will have to reside in Texas for a minimum of 60 days, if no complications. This is necessary to ensure that she is in close proximity to the doctors and hospital that the surgery will take place. This surgery poses significant risk of potential failure, infection, and potential organ rejection. Terria is raising funds to be able to cover the cost of funds for housing and for her children to be able to travel to see her on weekends throughout the duration of her stay. Your help and support is greatly appreciated in her journey toward a life changing surgery.
