Donation protected
Hi, my name is Naomi.
My closest friends are going through their biggest battle at the moment.
Terri-Ann Matthews has Non Hodgkinson Lymphoma.
Terri was misdiagnosed with Ross River virus November 2023.
After multiple GP appointments and visits to the hospital emergency room, she was constantly told to go home, rest and take some paracetamol.
February 2024 came and Terri was rapidly getting worse. I suggested that she gets a second opinion and ask for extensive blood tests.
By the next day, February 6th she was admitted to the Townsville University Hospital with the help of her new gp. She was found to have cancerous cells and was to under go further tests.
On February 17 2024, Terri-Ann was diagnosed with Non Hodgkinson Lymphoma.
Terri has undergone multiple rounds of chemotherapy, unfortunately this has had no effect.
Their next step, is to under go stem cell therapy.
This is in Brisbane. And will be approximately 6mths. Due to this and other challenges, Terri-Ann can not do this alone. Terri-Ann and her husband, Lesley have 2 young children, and no support. They all must go together.
Terri-Ann, is a beautiful woman, who is on the spectrum, Asperger's Syndrome. Being blind in one eye since birth and she has a mild intellectual impairment.
These times are tough for everyone in Australia right now.
I am asking if you could please scrape together anything you can spare. To help Terri-Ann, to help Lesley support his wife and their children though this time.
The funds raised, will help with airfares for their two children to travel. Accommodation and care for their 2 beloved pets, Cocco and Max. Rent and bills so they do not lose their home here in Townsville.
Transport, food and everything else that is needed while away.
