Hi everyone! My name is Lindsey and I am Terri Jertson's daughter. I am making this GoFundMe for my mom in hopes to ease some of her financial burden while off work and help her with medical expenses.

Terri has been self employed for over 40 years as a hair dresser and she is thankful for the special connection she has with each one of her clients. She has never had to stop work due to medical reasons. Once she had to stop working we knew this was going to be challenging and this is when I decided to ask for help from the community.

Terri was diagnosed with ocular uveal melanoma in 2020 and had radiation on her eye. She was stable until November 2023 when they found the cancer had metastasized. She now has stage 4 liver mets. She has had two rounds of radiation on the tumors in her liver but that was not as successful as doctors had hoped. She has recently started immunotherapy that is a weekly infusion and the first 4 infusions are given up at OHSU with an overnight stay.

This has been tremendously difficult for her because she has put a pause on her life and work. Terri has not been able to work since the end of June and will not be able to return any time soon. These funds would be used to help her pay bills while not working and to allow her to travel outside of Oregon to see a specialist.
