In August of 2024, my mother, Terri Dooley, started having severe abdominal pain. After months of countless emergency room visits, trips to urgent care, doctors appointments, trips to out-of-area specialists and hospital admissions, all while enduring severe pain, she has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Uterine Cancer. Mom is still undergoing tests to ascertain the specifics of this cancer, but it is clear that the cancer has invaded into other organ systems. Additionally, while undergoing testing, her kidneys began to fail and has endured multiple failed attempts to stent.

My mom is without a doubt the strongest woman I know. She is an amazing mom and an even more amazing grandma to her two brand new granddaughters. In the past she has beaten cancer before and is certain she will beat it again this time. I am in awe of her strength and fortitude during this time.

Our family are all missing work to provide home care and to take my mother to doctors appointments and, unfortunately, we have been unable to carry the financial burden that comes along with a diagnosis like this. While our first priority is mom’s healing and her peace during this time, the strain of keeping up with medical costs and regular day to day bills has been a glaring and unmanageable in our current situation. I am here in an attempt to lighten that load and to kindly ask for your help. I am aware that finances are difficult for many right now, but any amount would be extremely appreciated.
