Hi, my name is Terrence. I’m a father of three beautiful kids and an aspiring entrepreneur who made a costly mistake by trusting the wrong mentor. Today, I’m facing a federal indictment and up to 20 years in prison—not because I’m a criminal, but because I followed someone I believed was teaching me how to build a better life.
In 2020, I decided to take control of my future and become an entrepreneur. I found a mentor online who was teaching credit and business funding strategies. He presented himself as successful, knowledgeable, and was even featured on a popular podcast, encouraging others to follow his path. Inspired by his lifestyle and message, I took out a $5,000 loan—money I didn’t have—to join his mentorship program.
That decision cost me dearly. The loan affected my ability to close on my first home, and to this day, I still don’t own a home. But worse than that, within the mentorship, I was taught a “Navy Federal auto loan play” as a legitimate funding method. I had no idea it was illegal.
I applied this method to help my funding clients, truly believing it was legal and beneficial. Now, I’ve been indicted for conspiracy to commit wire fraud. The federal government says I was involved in over $450,000 worth of fraudulent loans, and I’m facing serious prison time—even though I have no criminal history.
The court appointed lawyer I was given has shown little effort in fighting for me. If I leave it in his hands, I fear I’ll be buried under the system. What I need is a strong legal defense—a private attorney who will fight for the truth, who will tell my story, and help me get justice. But that requires resources I simply do not have.
I’m asking for your help to raise $20,000 to hire a private federal criminal defense attorney.
I’m not claiming to be perfect. I’ve made mistakes. But I am not a scammer, and I never set out to break the law. I’m a father trying to create a better life for his kids, who trusted the wrong person at the wrong time. I paid someone to mentor me—not to destroy my life.
If you can donate, share, or simply offer a prayer, it would mean everything to me and my family. Your support could be the difference between freedom and a future I never intended for myself.
Thank you for reading my story.
