Our hearts were turned upside down when my boyfriend, Terrell, was seriously injured while playing basketball. What started as a normal game quickly became a life-altering event.

Terrell suffered multiple fractures in his neck and required emergency neck surgery to stabilize his spine. He spent five nights in the hospital, including three nights in the ICU. As a result of his injuries, Terrell has a spinal cord contusion, fused vertebrae and metal rods in his neck. While we are grateful that surgery was successful, this marks the beginning of a long road to recovery.

For the next six to ten weeks, he is unable to drive or work. In addition to overwhelming hospital bills, he will require ongoing pain management and extensive physical therapy to regain as much strength, mobility, and function as possible.

Terrell is a dedicated and valued memeber of our community who has spent over seven years pouring into our youth. He has always shown up for others, and any support his comminuty can offer during this time would mean the world to him.
