Support Terrell’s Battle Against Pancreatic Cancer

I am organizing this fundraiser with my father Kevin Carpenter in support of his partner Terrell Cameron. Terrell has been suffering from illness and intractable pain for an extended period of time. Unfortunately, it took quite a bit of time for her to get into a provider to be evaluated for her symptoms. After finally being referred to different specialists, she underwent testing and went without any definitive answers over a period of several months until she finally received her devastating diagnosis. Terrell was diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer that has spread to other parts of her body. She was informed that her tumors are inoperable at this stage, but she has not given up and will proceed with aggressive chemotherapy starting immediately. As if this drawn out process was not emotionally exhausting enough, she was also told that insurance only covers 80% of medical bills that she will incur. While battling cancer, Terrell is financially responsible for the other 20% of what will be extremely expensive medical bills. We hope to reduce some of the stress she is experiencing caused by the financial burden of her diagnosis and treatment plan.
