Dear family, friends, and community,

With profound grief and a heavy heart, we regret to inform you of Teresa's peaceful passing at home on October 22, 2025.

I am urgently asking for donations to help cover the costs of mom's funeral and burial expenses. Teresa was my mom. I am heartbroken and wouldn't seek support if I were financially able to put mom to rest. I humbly ask for your help. Please consider donating. Any contribution, no matter the size, will forever be appreciated.

Mom was a trooper; she really fought for her life and was truly afraid of death. She loved life and wanted to be with us longer, but God Almighty had another plan for her.

Becoming ill in May 2023, mom was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Thanks to her pulmonologist, Dr. Wright, her long journey towards becoming a lung transplant candidate began at UCLA. Once all requirements were met, she was placed on the waitlist in Dec 2024. Sadly, that happiness was short-lived due to health decline, and she was removed from the waitlist.

Mom was a character. She had her ups and downs like many, was funny, entertained many with ghost stories, loved watching old movies, especially with her favorite actor, Luis Aguilar, "El Gallo Giro," as well as old scary movies. Listening to Jorge Negrete and Pedro Infante songs on an old tape player while cooking and cleaning is a fond memory.

At a young age and before all the illnesses, trips to the Lompoc Mission with her grandchildren were an all-day adventure from morning till late afternoon, as well as going to the local Goodwill with her sister, Aunt Lupe.

Mom was loved by many and will truly be missed.
