Support Teresa Nelson's Heart Recovery

Hi, everyone.

My name is Lexie and I’m hoping to raise funds for someone very near and dear to my heart. On September 5th, 2024, my Nana, Teresa Nelson, suffered a widow maker heart attack while at work. She has worked for the United States Postal Service for 18 years as a mail carrier. On the afternoon of September 5th, while delivering mail, she suffered a major heart attack while on the mail route. Luckily, she was able to call the post master for help. Her coworkers called 911, and my nana was saved with not a minute to spare.

EMS rushed her to the hospital, where she was immediately taken into surgery to have 2 stents placed into her heart. Her heart has been damaged due to the heart attack, and now she is in need of continued medical care and rehab. She is unable to return to work for at least the next 2 months, while she’s been ordered to rest and heal. But now she doesn’t know what she’s going to do. She is facing the loss of everything she owns if she can’t cover her medical and monthly bills while out on rest and recovery.

My nana is the strongest person I know. She lives alone. She takes care of herself and does everything alone. She has always been there for me whenever I’ve needed anything throughout life, and now I hope to return the favor. While I’m unable to pay her monthly bills myself, I hope that by setting up this fundraiser, we’ll be able to raise enough money to help her get through this difficult time. She doesn’t need to stress anymore while she’s trying to heal. She needs to focus all of her strength on getting better. I don’t know what I would do without her, and my daughter needs her Nana.
