I am introducing my friend Teresa Lee, who has been experiencing so many health issues since a fall in March. That fall created a hematoma that went undiagnosed for three months. In June, July, and September, she was hospitalized in Wichita for 7-10 days each. She has had sepsis and E. Coli, as well as other complications. Surgery required a drain, and she undergoes daily infusions for antibiotics, which means driving to Iola daily. (Which is added expense) Her last diagnosis this week is she is going to have to have a colon resection as soon as the latest infection is cleared up. Teresa is self-employed as a caregiver and housekeeper. Therefore, no insurance nor any work for the past three months. Not many of us could survive very well under those circumstances.
