Support Teresa Derksen's Campaign for Cibolo

Donation protected

My name is Teresa Derksen. I am honored to be a candidate for the City of Cibolo, Place 4. I'm so excited to meet everyone, but the biggest part is to roll up my sleeves, and to sit and listen to your concerns.

As a dedicated Air Force Vet, I also dedicated a lot of volunteer tasks. If being a Pneumatic Repair Technician wasn't enough, I also headed up the Spouse's Unaccompanied Dependents Support group, aka SUDS. I would receive calls from either my Commander or First Shirt, of a family members arriving to the base. From there, we made sure they had lodging, food, and any other accommodations to ensure they were comfortable. My journey has been filled with life-long experiences that have prepared me to serve you effectively.

- Cultural Diversity & Inclusion

These topics for I am fully committed to fight for. I will fight to stop any initiatives, bills, and laws against discrimination, and the erasure of history of the Black and Brown community. It concerns me deeply that the GOP, MAGA, The Heritage Foundation have been and currently stripping the LGBTQIA, and the rights of a woman's health-care. And I strongly believe that Project 2025 and Agenda 47 are not beneficial to any American. (928 pages)

We MUST be able to celebrate, embrace, and preserve not only for us now, but for future generations to have.

- My Career and Community Involvement

My career has not only been enriched with various roles and responsibilities. Most importantly, the many people I met, made me more appreciative of what is important to them. After all, aren't we here "For the people, by the people."

With that, I proudly served 12 years as the HOA President of Buffalo Crossing. I also served 13 years at the Schertz Police Department as a Communications Shift Supervisor. (911 Communications)

Even with all of this, I still was able to participate, at all the home games, of Steele High School. Yes, I was the crazy "Sports Mom!" I dressed down in the school's colors of black and silver hats, terrible towels, signs, bonnets, and sashes.

I couldn't do this without the support and dedication of the love of my life, Gary Derksen.
