Support Tere's fight against myoepithelial carcinoma
Donation protected
Recently, our mom was diagnosed with myoepithelial carcinoma in her parotid gland. She had surgery to remove the tumor in her parotid gland at the beginning of March. They were unable to get clear margins of the tumor because it was intertwined with her facial nerve. Unfortunately, the biopsy came back positive for cancer. She is going to be doing radiation 5 days a week for 7 weeks. She has had excellent care at the University of Chicago so far. Radiation will be focused on the residual of the tumor and the surrounding lymph nodes. The type of cancer she has is very rare, and only a few hundred cases have been documented in literature.
Tere is always helping people, whether it is recovering from surgery, being a nanny, elderly care, or transportation to doctor appointments. She never stops helping others. We would love to show our mom support during her time of need. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward medical bills, travel to daily appointments, and time off from her 3 jobs when needed. Your support will not only ease the financial burden but also provide emotional support during this challenging time. Thank you for taking the time to read this and your consideration in supporting Tere's fight. Your kindness and support mean more than words can express.
