Help Oser Attend SFT Action Camp!
Action Camp is an intensive training program where young Tibetans gain unique skills in nonviolent action and grassroots organizing for the Tibetan cause. For one week, student activists, Tibetan community organizers, and seasoned human rights campaigners from around the world will join together to equip young activists with the tools to carry on the torch in the Tibetan Freedom Movement!
My name is Tenzin Oser Tshering, and I have served as Co-President of the SFT Boston chapter for 3 years now, during which time I have had the joy of working with Boston’s Tibetan youth to advance our cause at the local level! From coordinating weekly Lhakar Vigils at Harvard Square to organizing trainings and direct actions, I’ve built an arsenal of skills that I want to share with other young Tibetans. Action Camp will be an opportunity for me to do just that. As a student-trainer, I will apply all the experience I’ve gained as a chapter president and in previous trainings to train other young Tibetan activists. Learning from teaching and helping others at this camp would only further my understanding of the movement and the actions needed to fight for a Free Tibet and teach those back at home the same goal! Action Camp is an opportunity for me to take my activism to the next level and grow as a leader.
The camp takes place in Germany, and as a college student and activist, I appreciate any support for funding this trip. Your generous donation will be a direct investment in the future of the Tibetan Freedom Movement.
Expenses:
Roundtrip airfare from Boston to Düsseldorf, Germany: approximately $1,000 USD
Every donation – big or small – will make a tangible difference.
Thank you. ཐུགས་རྗེ་ཆེ་
