Support tennis for special youths to create a better future

My name is Roger and I am a certified coach with the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR). I have been coaching tennis on Long Island, New York for over seven years, working closely with young players of varying levels. During this time, I have had the privilege of meeting and working with many children with special needs. However, I have observed that they often face challenges integrating into regular group classes due to their unique learning requirements. As a result, many stop training in tennis, which I find truly unfortunate.

These children are just as physically suited to playing tennis as any other child. They require a more personalized and adaptive teaching approach to meet their specific needs. I firmly believe that with the right teaching approach, tennis can significantly improve their physical coordination, self-care skills, social skills, and most importantly, their self-confidence. This will bring them joy and a sense of accomplishment - something every child deserves.

Inspired by this belief, my daughter and I founded United Through Sports (UTS), a non-profit tennis organization dedicated to providing customized tennis training programs for children with special needs (Autism, ADHD, Depression), our coaching team, and free instruction to all special youth groups. Help them integrate into society through sports and create a better future for them. However, I cannot realize this vision alone. I hope to gather more coaches and compassionate people to make this dream a reality.

We are currently planning to launch an indoor tennis training program specifically for children with special needs this winter. Unfortunately, the high cost of renting indoor courts poses a major challenge to this project. Therefore, we sincerely seek your support to make this project possible. Your generous donation will help hire coaches and pay for court rental. Ensure that these children have a safe and welcoming space to learn and grow through tennis.
