LET'S BRING THE JOY TO A LITTLE GIRL'S LIFE AGAIN!
Marty and I would like to introduce you to our precious 8 year old granddaughter, Tenley Smith. She is the middle child of our daughter Chelsea and her husband Ty Smith.

We have walked a very hard road with this sweet girl for the last year. She went from a very confident, happy and kind little girl who brought so much joy to everyone she met to a very withdrawn, sad and anxious little girl. She began pulling out her hair in clumps, her eyelashes and eyebrows and developed an anxiety that was beyond control. She was finally diagnosed with Trichotillomania, severe Childhood Anxiety, OCD and Sensory Integration Disorder . Her momma and daddy have spent endless hours researching ways to help and have connected with several doctors who have all worked continuously through different therapies and medications. There have been different things put into place at school, with their amazing leadership, to help Tenley and several changes have been made at home as well. She generally wears little earplugs due to extreme sensitivity to noise. It just continues to go from bad to worse. We might think she is in a good place and then anxiety strikes and her stress response is to pull her hair. She at one time had long, thick beautiful hair but with all the pulling she was basically bald in the back of her head. The week before school began she had pulled out all the hair on the top of her head so Tenley and Chelsea made the decision to cut her hair short thinking it would help. That was not the case and most of the hair under that cute little hat is nearly all gone. They are now working with a wig salon to help her regain her confidence that has been lost through this illness.

Ty and Chelsea have had several recommendations from medical and school professionals stating Tenley would benefit from a Service Dog to help her during her daily episodes. They have connected with a Service Dog Trainer and have made a connection with a reputable Dog Breeder to begin the process.

Ty and Chelsea are facing a large amount of expenses for their sweet Tenley girl with the purchase of wig, fitting it and styling it and the purchase of a service dog and the training required. We are asking and will GREATLY APPRECIATE any help you may be able to give.

FIRST ... Asking for your prayers for our precious Tenley and her family. There have been lots of tears shed and hands laid upon her but we will always take more.
SECOND ... Any financial help you may be able give would so be appreciated and help relieve the stress this sweet family has been under the past year.
