On a day that changed everything for Temple Israel, the security staff & ECC teachers showed extraordinary courage and selflessness.

When an attacker threatened the safety of the community, Danny Phillips, the director of security, put himself in harm’s way to protect others. Even after being injured, Danny made his way to a classroom to warn students, teachers, and staff not to go into the hallway, ensuring their safety above his own. His actions, the entire security team & Staff reflect a deep commitment to the well-being of everyone at Temple Israel.

Danny is now recovering from multiple fractures & injuries, but his first concern was always for the children & community. The security staff have always gone above & beyond, putting themselves at risk so others can be safe.

In the aftermath of this traumatic event, they’ll be facing various expenses & other challenges as they heal & rebuild. This fundraiser is dedicated to supporting the security staff at Temple Israel.
