For those who have been asking, we wanted to share an update on our girl, Temperance (with her permission, of course).

As many of you know, Temperance has been at DC Children’s Hospital for nearly three weeks now facing a significant health crisis. While we are seeing glimpses of her beautiful spirit again, the reality is that her stay will be indefinite as we navigate her recovery. She has a long road ahead of her. Tempe is the heart of our community, and she has given us permission to share this because she knows we need our village now more than ever. Between the 24/7 care she needs, the 60-member cast of The Music Man entering tech week, and the constant commute to DC, our family is feeling the strain. The "hidden" costs of a long-term hospital stay are overwhelming. We have set up a GoFundMe to help Temperance cover:

• Her missed wages while she is unable to work.

• Daily travel costs ($20/day parking and gas for the commute for us).

• Immediate household needs to ensure her home is stable and ready for her whenever she can return, but also to help support us and her siblings as we are just treading water right now. I often say that Tempie is the George Bailey of this town. She is loved by everyone and she loves fiercely. Tempie has always given herself to everyone and is now in a place where she could use help herself. Visits, notes, and prayers are just as good as money, so anything you can do at all is going to be appreciated.
