One of my oldest buddies Rob Rogers rewrote this for me. Thank you for your time and energy.

I've never asked any of you for a dime, ever but please consider a few dollars for my friend Teddy, a great guy who I went to school with.

The last 7 years have been a nightmare with one thing after another going wrong. Back then Teddy was talking about retiring in 10 years and now he's looking at having to start over. First it was congestive heart failure which led to triple bypass surgery. Next he found out he had diabetes. Two months later the pandemic hit which devastated his Heating & Air business. He had just bought a huge box truck & a lot of new equipment then all the customers were gone.

The 11 different medications he was on had a negative effect on him mentally and made him very angry which caused him to fly off the handle at the slightest thing. Over the next several months he had multiple medication changes for various reasons, all of which effected things one way or another, often for the worse.

The pandemic took months to get over and even longer to somewhat recover from. After that his fiance had enough & wanted to split up causing him to have to move. Eight months after that Teddy developed an infection in his left foot which got into the bone. The infection turned into Sepsis which almost killed him. After two surgeries a month apart they finally got the infection out but the down side was he lost 3/4 of his foot.

As an air conditioning business owner if you don't take care of your customers they go someplace else. The amount of time missed from work was substantial and on top of the pandemic and everything else things were extremely bad.

So we move forward two years. In that time his foot never healed over. Yes you guessed it, it got infected again. This time they cut his leg off just below the left knee and of course much more work was missed. Very hard to do physical work when you can't walk. His son Matt has been helping as much as he can, but sadly it's just not been enough.

Oh I almost forgot, in between the foot and knee surgery Teddy had to get a pacemaker and his brother died Tim died from Pancreatic Cancer after Gulf War Syndrome and countless surgeries. Teddy has had 5 surgeries over the last 7 years. Between time missed from work, the pandemic, hospital bills, moving costs and so on he has just gone though everything, it's been heartbreaking to watch and after a lifetime of hard work and achievements, now he is in a lot of debt.

The good news is he in good spirits, the medication is under control, his leg is healed over and he got his prosthetic leg which cost $1800 alone out of pocket.

His diet is good, he is doing some small jobs and is looking forward to doing more as time goes on. He is still waiting on disability but who knows if that will ever happen. His goal is to get through the next few months, pay down some bills and get caught up on other bills.

Thank you for taking the time to read this long post. I've known Teddy since we were kids, he's worked his ass off his entire life, you couldn't meet a nicer guy and anything, I mean anything, even $20 would help. It's not the amount, every little bit helps and adds up to a greater sum.

Thank you again for considering and remember, life struggles can happen to every one of us. If you or I were in bad shape like Ted, I'm sure we'd be grateful for any help people gave us
