Support Teddy's Journey to a Pain-Free Life

Teddy came to me from the shelter where he had served his time for crimes he didn't commit. He, like the rest of the babes, didn't deserve to be stuck there.

When I was asked to pick him up, I was so ready!

Although his background is unknown, this little firecracker was thrilled to have been broken out of jail.

It was clear upon our first meeting that physically he was a little 'off.' It was chalked up to having spent his time behind bars on a hard floor. He was scrunched up like a worm and was reluctant to let me pick him up even as eager as he was to get into the car.

After getting him home and settled in, he began to exhibit signs of discomfort, stiffness and eventually pain. It didn't keep him from running around but it's something I had to limit for him, as we had no idea what was causing this 'off' behavior. Eventually this sweet loving boy began turning his pain outward and letting the world know he was hurting. Training fell by the wayside. Routines fell by the wayside. The only thing that mattered was making sure he wasn't in excruciating pain 24/7.

Five doctors and a year later, we have a treatment plan for this sweet little peanut! We found an amazing orthopedist two hours west into Pennsylvania who was able to spend quality time and properly address Teddy's every quirky symptom and trigger.

Teddy is scheduled for hip surgery to correct an orthopedic issue that could be something he developed on his own, or through events of his past. But finally, not knowing what happened doesn't mean he can't finally get relief!

Teddy Bear came to live with four cats who are his best friends. He still is unsure what a dog is, and for some reason doesn't like horses, but we love him all the more for his giant personality.

He is set for surgery September 4th and nothing is going to stop us from getting him the relief that he so desperately deserves. This boy finally has a chance at a normal life (jk he still thinks he's a cat.)
