to know teddy is to love him. On October 14th, Teddy gave us the scare of a lifetime and needed to be rushed to the emergency vet. Upon getting there, we were informed that we had to make a choice- to put him down or to have him undergo life saving surgery. Teddy had a tumor on his spleen that ruptured and was bleeding into his abdomen. Teddy is a gift to this world and we couldn’t imagine not fighting for him. Unfortunately, we do not have pet insurance and at a minimum, this is going to be $12,000 out of pocket. His life is invaluable, though this was a costly choice. I’d do it again a million times, though I am asking for support to save his life.

as an update of 10/15, Teddy made it through the first 12 hours which are critical but he’s still no where near where he needs to be. He is going to need intensive care, more plasma, and monitoring to make sure that the stability that he’s gained isn’t lost. The care for him is estimated between 22-26,000 at this point. He still has a chance to make it back home.
