Hi everyone, my name is Kathi Schreiber, RDH. My dear friend and friend to so many of you, Teddy Thrasher Booker, RDH has been challenged once again by an EF2 tornado that hit her home and yard along with the whole neighborhood in Rolla, MO., Friday night 3-14-25. I was thinking of anyway I could help her, bring food to her and neighbors while they tirelessly work in the yard and house with so many people volunteering to help them cut trees up and move them to the curb. The only problem is that I don't live down there, and didn't know quite how to go about it with the streets blocked off, ect. I came up with the idea of a GoFundMe page. Teddy has met so many challenges since I have known her as a friend, colleague, and an active member in our professional Assoc. many years ago. She always has a smile on her face and willing to help others in need. You would never know her challenges and needs. Over COVID she and I talked a lot and I got to know about her, work, and family. Teddy told me she has to be very cautious during Covid due to her battleing so many autoimmune diseases along with her husband having diabetes and now has limilted vision capacity. I learned that Teddy and her husband George bought a house in Rolla and while living their her husband was offered a position at a college in S.D. he took the position and moved up there. Her mother moved into there home and pays what she can. George's position ended in S. D. and they moved back to Rolla. As Teddy had to find a position in a dental office or a position to use her Master degree. They decided to move to Columbia, MO. for work. Her mother stayed in their home and they rented a place in Columbia as she found a position with benefits, which was badly needed. That soon ended and she is now at another office with no insurance benefits and paying for their insurance. George is limited on work as they try getting him on disability. Teddy's income pays bills, morgage, rent and as most of you know lots of other things that go along with exiting and owning houses, a car and renting a home and insurance for everything. Tedfy's mother in law lived with during Covid. She had Alzheimers. Teddy's father passed away during Covid from Covid, and then 2 weeks later, her uncle passed from Covid. Recently she had a relative pass and last week they buried her young cousin that pasted away. Then, the tornado hits. Lots of huge trees uprooted and came down in her yard. Her fence torned up, hail damaged her siding, roof and car. The lines cut off her house and of course electricity off, poles are broken and down, ect. They had to throw everything in the refrigerador and frezeers out. She knows God has a plan as she keeps going day by day. Right now she is in shock and devasted at this time of real need and kind words. No donation is to little. Anything and everything helps her and her family rebuild back their lives. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Teddy's and her family for your support. ❤️
