I am gonna start this off by saying thank you. Thank you to every person who has sent a text, a call, a card, a smile, and sent their love to my family. From the deepest part within me, I thank each and everyone of you.
Now, to begin this story. An amazing man, no not an amazing man, a man who will forever be in so many peoples hearts as one of the greatest men to walk the earth was born September 26, 1962. This man did not know what his future may hold, he had hopes and dreams, visions of his perfect future with his family, unfortunately cancer had another plan. In 2003 the doctors found the first mass in my father's mouth. For the next 13 years my father would go through some of the worst and best experiences imaginable.
Let's discuss cancer for a minuet, I'm gonna start this with cancer SUCKS! Cancer doesn' care who you are, where you come from, how rich or poor, what ethnicity, what you've done with your life, no, cancer doesn't care! My father was diagonsed with Squamos Cell Carcinoma of the head and neck. He underwent three head and neck dissections... yes, I said three. He had two fibular grafts, several skin grafts, and too many treatments of chemotherapy and radiation to count. This cancer is aggressive and mean, and it does not stop.
Now, through all of this my father did not waiver in who he was as a person. He was selfless, giving, kind, HILARIOUS, full of joy, and obsessed with his kids. Anyone who knows my father knows that his kids are everything and anything he could ever want. That is why we are here...
My father has met the end of his battle and is ready to go home. I am so grateful for him fighting for so long to give his kids as much time with him as possible. He is leaving behind a family who will be devestated to our core, but we know we have a legacy to live on.
Rawlin is 13, Trey is 15, Olivia is 16, and Hailey is 18. These kids have bright futures ahead of them and they need your help. These next years will be tough as we find our footing. I am 24 and blessed to be married to a great man willing to take up the mantle of helping live and raise my sweet siblings. We plan on moving into my father's home to help with the healing, grieving, and transition. Unfortunately, bills continue, morgates continue, car payments continue, life continues. That is where I ask for your help, help me help my siblings. I know my father would give these kids the world if he could and that's what I am asking for, let's give them the world.
Funds will first go to covering living expensives and anything after that will go to college funds for the kids. These kids will have a bright future and an oppurtunity to live the legacy my father left behind.
Thank you for reading this and thank you for contributing whatever you can.
