On February 6th, my father, Ted O'Brien, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. He was a great man who would literally give the shirt off his back for anyone. He served his country in the Vietnam War, as well as his community in BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse). He raised his kids with the same honor, integrity and love. All the good that is in me is from my father and aunt's example. With my father's passing, my aunt has now gone to a two income household to one. My father did not have life insurance, and the VA only pays a very small portion of the funeral and burial costs. I started this fundraiser to help with the cost of the funeral, the repairs to the house that are needed to prepare it for the market, as well as help my aunt with living costs until the house is sold.
