Hello, friends, supporters, and fellow UCF Knights!
We are TEA@UCF (Themed Entertainment Association at the University of Central Florida), a passionate student-run club dedicated to bringing creativity, entertainment, and immersive experiences to our campus. In previous years we have created escape rooms on UCF campus, and our most recent creation was the photo op shown above. Today, we are excited to announce our latest project – a thrilling, spine-tingling Haunted House, Swamp of Screams – designed specifically for UCF students and our local community.
Our goal? To create a completely FREE and unforgettable haunted experience for UCF students to enjoy in the Spring of 2025. This event will be completely student-driven and will provide a chance for students to get involved in every aspect, from design and set building to acting, lighting, and special effects.
But we can’t do it alone. We need your support to bring this haunting vision to life.
Why We're Doing This:
As students, we understand the stress and challenges that come with college life. Swamp of Screams aims to give our fellow Knights an escape – a fun, spooky, and immersive experience where they can let loose, enjoy some thrills, and be a part of something special. Best of all, it’s 100% free for all UCF students, thanks to your generous donations!
We also want to give students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the entertainment industry, from set design and creative direction to acting and technical production. This project is an incredible opportunity to showcase our talents and collaborate on a unique and large-scale experience. We are aiming for the event to occur in the late spring season!
How Your Donation Helps:
This is where we need YOUR help! We’re starting our initial donation goal of $5,000 to cover the minimum costs of:
- Set Design & Construction – Building a high-quality haunted house with terrifyingly intricate details!
- Props & Costumes – To ensure the scares are top-notch, we need to invest in the materials we use to create terrifying props and custom creepy costumes.
- Lighting & Special Effects – Lighting and special effects that will enhance the eerie atmosphere and give you chills down your spine.
- Technical Equipment – From sound systems to automated scares, we need the right gear to create an immersive experience.
- Volunteer Training & Safety – We want our volunteers to be fully prepared and safe while creating an experience that is both fun and professional.
- Marketing & Promotion – To get the word out and ensure everyone knows about this free spooky event.
