Send Team QAJAQ USA to Greenland — Support the Journey to Nuuk 2026
This summer, Team QAJAQ USA will travel to Nuuk, Greenland to participate in the Greenland National Kayaking Championships (Qaannamik Unammersuarneq)—a living celebration of traditional Inuit kayaking.
This isn’t about winning medals.
It’s about showing up with respect, learning from Greenlandic paddlers, and supporting a culture that has shaped everything we practice today.
Why This Matters
Traditional Greenland kayaking is not just a sport—it’s a direct link to an ancient Arctic hunting culture. The Championships are where those skills are still practiced, shared, and passed down.
Our goal is simple:
• Participate with humility
• Build relationships
• Honor the source of this tradition
How You Can Help
We’re raising funds to support the real costs of getting a team to Greenland:
• International airfare
• Lodging in Nuuk
• Food and daily expenses
• Gear transport and baggage fees
• Registration fees
• Cultural gifts for Greenlandic paddlers
This is a grassroots effort—every team member is covering their own costs. Your support helps make this journey possible.
Be Part of the Story
We’ll be documenting the entire experience through The Dubcast with Dubside, video, and photography—sharing the people, the culture, and what it truly means to take part in this event.
When you support this campaign, you’re not just donating. You’re helping build a bridge between communities, and supporting the preservation of traditional kayaking culture.
