Players from grades 1-12 are participating in the National Chess Championship in Winnipeg, Manitoba on May 16-18, 2026. This fundraiser will help support their travel and additional expenses at this prestigious competition.

On March 28th 2026, scholastic chess players from across Newfoundland and Labrador competed in the Canadian Chess Challenge Provincial Final. One champion was declared for each grade, making up a team of 12 players, who will travel to Winnipeg, Manitoba on May 16-18, 2026 to compete in the National Chess Championship (CCC National Final).

A parent or guardian travels with each player, and all the costs associated with this trip are the responsibility of the family of each champion. The team does not have access to any additional funding programs, or sponsors, so we are calling on our friends and family to donate to this worthy cause.

All funds will be shared equally to support the members of Team Newfoundland and Labrador.
