Hi, my name is Yorel Hawkins and I'm the founder and Head Coach of Team H.A.W.K. We are a youth basketball program striving to change the culture of Rhode Island Basketball while supporting our athletes in becoming young men and getting to the next level in their basketball career. Our program is run in its entirety by myself and my partner, Victoria, who is our Administrative Director. We both work day in and day out to best support our athletes and get them experiences that will open doors for them to play at the collegiate level. We are in the beginning of our second year as a program and excited to say we already have several colleges looking at and recruiting several of our players.

While we work towards becoming a non-profit program, we are looking for support to help us offset unexpected costs. These costs primarily include increased travel expenses and scholarships for players who aren't financially able to fulfill their commitment. With a few players dropping out of our program due to personal reasons, our program's finances have suffered; but, we still want to give our current athletes the same opportunities we promised.
