Support Team Devries

As most know, the Devries family has already lived through more than their share of hardship. They have survived more bad news, difficult days and nights in the hospital than one family should ever have to endure. And just as their lives had returned to somewhat normal after years of battling for sweet Amelia, they were struck with even more bad news.
It is almost unbelievable that they are starting this journey again but recently Brien was diagnosed with metastatic embryonal carcinoma. This is the most aggressive form of testicular cancer. He has already underwent surgery but still has a long road ahead of him. Brien is to begin a very aggressive treatment plan on December 14 which sadly means another somber Christmas at the Devries' household. Brien will require at least 3 months of chemotherapy, steroids, etc. and unfortunately not all are covered by OHIP.  There are already so many costs that come with illness such as parking, meals etc.
After this round of chemo, it's possible that Brien may require more surgery as well. This all means months and months of missed work and decreased income. Laura has also not been able to work since Amelia's diagnosis just over 4 years ago. They need our help!
We know Amelia has already shown her daddy how to battle this disease so bravely, so if we could all share just a little Christmas cheer with a family that so greatly deserves it maybe we can make their holiday just a little brighter. Let's at least make one less worry as Team Devries fights this battle like we know they can!
