Support Team Canada's Junior Vaulting Squad
Donation protected
This group of 6 young athletes is headed to Sweden in July to compete at the FEI Vaulting World Championships for Juniors and Young Vaulters. The athletes range in age from 11-18. The World Championships is an amazing opportunity for these young people to proudly Represent Canada.
Vaulting is the art of gymnastics on horseback, and can be done individually, as a pair or a squad of 6. All 6 athletes rotate on and off the horse as it canters around the arena, with a maximum of three vaulters on the horse at one time. The squad is scored on the correctness of each maneuver, the ability to execute the performance and their artistic abilities.
The cost to get these athletes to Sweden is substantial, and Team Canada was announced June 12, 2023 leaving a very short period of time to finalize preparations, increase their training so they peak at the competition and fundraise to help offset their costs.
This group of young people trains up to 4 days together as well as individually. They train both on and off the horse working on their maneuvers, strength, flexibility and artistic flair.
Please consider supporting these talented, hardworking athletes achieve their dreams.
