I will be running the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon for Team Battery on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025!
Since moving to New York to study urban planning four years ago, I had a feeling I'd fall in love with the city, but I never expected to also fall in love with running (shout out to Commonwealth Run Club!) Through running, I found friends, community, and a greater appreciation of our urban space in New York and in cities around the world.
Running the NYC Marathon for The Battery Conservancy is a dream for me. I'm so proud to be supporting their mission - the park is home to 240,000 sq ft of gardens, weekly programs free and open to the public, and one of my favorite running destinations.
The Conservancy designs, builds, maintains, and programs the historic Battery’s 25-acres of public parkland at the southern tip of Manhattan. The Battery, the thriving green heart of Downtown New York, is a model of conservation and biodiversity with vast public gardens, organic urban farms, toxin-free lawns, the innovative SeaGlass Carousel, and Playscape - built to flood and recover. Through my work at the Port Authority of NY/NJ, I've been inspired by the work of organizations like Battery Park Conservancy, working to keep our spaces resilient to the affects of climate change.
As a member of Team Battery, I have committed to fund-raising $5,000 for this beloved urban oasis. Please donate today and help me reach my goal!
