Donation protected
Teagan Vos was in a car accident on 7/6/24 sustaining life threatening injuries. She has a long road of recovery ahead of her. Any donations to help the family with medical bills, gas, and food would be appreciated as they will be by Teagan’s side through this part of her journey. Update on Teagan from mom (Brooke), dad (Jake), and siblings (Kaden and Nevaeh)
“On July 6th one of my worst fears as a mother became a reality. Teagan was in a horrible car accident and has sustained life threatening injuries, she is currently fighting for her life. Her injuries are as bad as it can get! Teagan went up to 10 minutes with no oxygen to the brain. CPR was started and Teagan was airlifted out and wasn’t expected to make the flight, but by the grace of God and the best guardian angel, she made it. When she arrived at Sioux Falls she coded two different times. We were left with the hardest decision of our lives, but as a family we decided if anyone could beat this thing it would be her! Anyone who truly knows Teagan knows that she is a firecracker and a fighter till the end. Teagan doesn’t back down, she doesn’t give up, and has never been a quitter. The injuries were are dealing with consist of a broken femur, broken leg, collapsed lungs, a broken neck, a severed spinal cord, and a traumatic brain injury. Teagan went straight into an 8 hour surgery to remove part of her skull to allow room for the brain due to the extensive swelling. Teagan wasn’t supposed to survive through surgery, but she did!!!! That’s my girl!!!! Over the next 24 hours, Teagan scans started showing her brain hemorrhaging. The swelling was so significant that it had no where else to go. They placed a monitor in her head today (July 10) to give them an accurate reading on the pressure. Teagan wasn’t expected to make it through this surgery as she was high risk to bleed out during the operation. Well guess what, Teagan made it through, Again. My heart sunk into my chest when I saw the surgeon walk in and I just stared to bawl!! Teagan did it!!! Teagan has been fighting the hardest battle of her life and she is still here… I know she is tired, I know this is hard, I know there are many unknowns, but FIGHT BABY GIRL!!!! You got this, you just have to!! I’m not accepting anything less!! Your time on Earth isn’t done!!! Fight hard Teagan, Please!!
Update!

Hold your babies close, let them know how much you love them! We love you Teagan Vos!!

The accident happened 2 weeks ago tomorrow. Teagan still is not responding to any commands. Her lungs are bad but she is trying to initiate a breath on her own with the machines help. Her swelling is really bad and a big concern still. The swelling and bleeding in her brain hasn't changed but I will take that as it hasn't gotten any worse. She made it through 3 surgeries this week. I hear everyday they can't believe she's still here with us. Anyone that truly knows Teagan, knows she is a fighter.. Always has been, always will be! Teagan needs all the prayers she can get! Please pray that Teagan will start responding to us!! I was told that process could take weeks to months! We just need her to do something!! Fight Teagan, Fight!! You have never been a quitter!

UPDATE!!!
Please, please, please continue to pray for Teagan. This week has been the worse week of our entire lives. Teagan is still holding on and fighting. She's having tests done every 2 hours but unfortunately she isn't showing any reflex signs yet. We found out yesterday She is having several strokes. This news is devastating! Please pray for Teagan, and also for Edith's family as they lay her to rest today! Teagan family update: Teagan had a rough day, this morning her blood pressure dropped really low. She is back of full ventilator support again. Her temp was spiking throughout the day so they did everything they could but now it's almost 104 so they are hooking up the artic sun again like she had when she first got here. They decided against trying to sit her I the chair today, they just want to let her rest. I will try to send an update tomorrow evening. Update from Brooke at 10:30 Friday night. Update: 7-26

Teagan is continuing to fight for her life. She is tired, but she hasn't given up! Not much to update as nothing has changed to much. They are really struggling to keep her temp under control. Her blood pressure also dropped pretty low today. Please continue to pray for our baby girl!!

Teagan has briefly opened her eyes. This does not mean she is awake as she hasn't followed any type of commands or moved on her own, but it’s great to see those brown eyes and it gives this mama hope! The plan was to be transferred to Omaha tomorrow but that will be put off now as Teagan needs another surgery tomorrow. She will be getting her skull put back in. This is the surgery that she coded twice on when she arrived so we could use all the thoughts and prayers when she goes into surgery tomorrow!! She does have phenomena for the 2nd time now so please say a prayer while her body tries to battle that as well.”
