Support Tazen Smith’s Medical Expenses and Healing Journey

My name is Jessie and I am raising funds for the Smith family. Tazen Smith is 12 years old and was seriously injured on April 12th in Washington while practicing for a youth dirt bike competition. While getting familiar with the track before his big race, he took a jump and landed on a soft spot of dirt. When he wrecked his body took a hard hit, breaking his leg, lacerating his liver and bruising his lungs. Tazen is currently being treated in Washington.

Tazen is an experienced racer and a great competitor. He is kind and encouraging to all of his fellow racers and always cautious but courageous. He has been riding a motorcycle since he was old enough to walk and the accident was a complete devastation to him and his family. He is currently being monitored in the hospital and surgery may be required to repair his broken leg. Tazen will have limited mobility and be on bed rest to heal. He will not be able to attend school and participate in any activities until his lacerated liver is fully healed. This could take up to 3 months. His parents will be caring for him, as well as, his younger sister all while trying to maintain sufficient income to stay afloat. Tazen just recently had surgery to remove his tonsils after years of health issues and the family is still recovering from those medically challenging hurdles which has resulted in much financial stress. As a way to support Tazen through his health issues and encourage him, his family and he dove into racing and riding after they saw the amount of joy Tazen’s got from the sport. This sport is what gave him strength and skills to push forward in times of hardship. 

I am asking  all the amazing people they have touched on their paths and the community to come together to offer them aid during this trying time.
