Tayon was on his way to work when his life changed in an instant. Trusting a vehicle to stop at its sign, he was struck by a car as he crossed an intersection. The accident left Tayon needing surgery for a complex laceration and a greatly fractured foot, making it impossible for him to work for roughly 3 months. Now, he's facing the very real possibility of losing everything he's worked so hard for.

Tayon is a proud Parkland College graduate who has long been dedicated to the community. Many know him from his previous work at the Rantoul Police Station, the Rantoul Family Sports Complex, and as a writer and photographer for several publications including Parkland’s Prospectus News as well as the Smile Politely and Pass Down magazines. He also supports the Illinois music scene through the Perimeter Road Sound Recordings and Broken Record Music Club record labels.

Although he has a great love and passion for his work and the people his journey connects him to, he risks losing all of it due to being unable to work. With the realities of rent, legal fees, and health expenses on the horizon, Tayon is unable to handle it all on his own. Without this support, he risks losing his home and stability during an already overwhelming time.

This accident hasn’t just impacted Tayon’s health; it has put his entire future on hold. Without assistance, he will be unable to continue his college education and dedication to the arts community.

Tayon is one of the most selfless people you’ll ever meet. He’s always there for friends and neighbors, often putting others’ needs above his own. He’s tried his hardest to be a light in the community, and now, he needs any help possible.
