Taylor’s Journey
Taylor is autistic and has faced many challenges in everyday life, particularly when it comes to social situations. For a long time, finding a place where she truly felt comfortable and confident wasn’t easy. Everything began to change in October 2024, when Taylor discovered Room 13 through a Facebook post advertising Teen Lifting sessions. What started as simply giving something new a try soon became the beginning of an incredible journey.
With the encouragement, belief, and support of Darren and Kirsty Binge, who are now her coaches, Taylor quickly found her strength and confidence growing. She soon progressed to the Strongman/Woman Sunday training sessions, pushing herself further than she ever imagined possible. The support from the entire Room 13 team, and especially Darren and Kirsty from Next Generation Strongman Club, has helped Taylor not only develop as an athlete but also believe in herself in ways she never had before.
Thanks to their guidance and the welcoming community around her, Taylor has discovered something she truly loves. What once seemed impossible has become a passion, proving that with the right support, determination, and belief, incredible things can happen.
Competition Achievements

June 2025 - Competed in Southampton’s Strongest at Barbell Southampton.
March 2025 -3rd place, Female Beginners (her first strongwoman competition) at Barbell Division Southampton.
Taylor has worked incredibly hard to reach this level so quickly, and it would mean the world to her to be able to represent the UK on the international stage.
Thank you for taking the time to read and support a young athlete chasing her goals.
Kindest regards,
Taylor , Claire & Cid McEwen
