Support Taylor’s Colon Cancer Recovery

Taylor Gass-Oster, an incredible human and supporter of all things local small business, has built her career by lifting up and supporting others. And now we get a chance to repay the favor.

While many of us were reeling from the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Taylor was having an altogether different and more painful experience. You see, the day before the storm, at only 34 years old, she was diagnosed with a cancerous colon tumor. Bad news never has good timing, but I think we can all agree this was the worst possible moment to find herself with a life-changing diagnosis and no power to provide any distraction from that fact.

The beautiful thing about Taylor’s approach to her business is that she has become beloved by so many for her ability to bring others up with her. To shine a spotlight and use her platform to encourage and support other small business owners and makers. From social media to her seasonal in-shop markets, if you’re supporting her business Well-Taylored Co., you’re as likely to see her lifting up other businesses as much as you see updates about her own.

The challenging side of converting her passion into a thriving small business is that it doesn’t offer the luxury of things many of us take for granted, like a stable income or healthcare benefits.

To know Taylor is to love her instantly. A person who loves hard, offers help and support without being asked (and often before you recognize you need it), and who cherishes community. This time, we’d like to repay that favor.

We’re asking the community she’s poured so much into to join us in pouring into her. There is no donation too small, and all funds will go directly to her to help cover her medical expenses resulting from her surgery scheduled for this Friday, and follow up care as she begins to heal.

Just this once, we’re honored to give her just a small piece of the support she gives so freely. Thank you for helping us support Taylor in this season to ensure she can heal free from added stress, and keep the small business thriving that we all know and love.

Sincerely,
Lindsey Shoop and Abigail Bishop
