Mother’s life taken night of daughter’s graduation
Donation protected
On May 28th, Taylor Denay Dominguez, a 32 year old devoted mother and brave survivor of a 14-year-long abusive relationship, lost her life in an unimaginable tragedy. She had taken the courageous step of leaving her abuser and moving back to Bakersfield with her mother for a “fresh start” as she came back saying. Taylor was determined to provide her four beautiful children—ages 8, 12, 13, and 14—with a life full of hope, love, and safety.
But on the evening of her daughter’s 8th-grade graduation, inviting Rafael Estrada from Northern California in an attempt at peaceful co-parenting (as seen in the picture), Rafael did an unthinkable act. He robbed her of her life in front of their children, leaving them orphaned, traumatized, and devastated. This horrific act took place in Taylor’s mother’s home, in the very bedroom she shared with her children—a place meant to be a sanctuary of safety and healing.
Now, these four children face a future without the loving mother who fought so hard for them. Their grandmother, a beacon of resilience and strength, has stepped up to care for them. She is determined to honor Taylor’s legacy and give these children the stability and opportunities their mother dreamed of. However, the family urgently needs to relocate to provide the children with a fresh start and a sense of safety away from the haunting memories of that tragic night.
We are asking for your help to support this family during this heartbreaking time. Your generous contributions will go toward:
• Relocating the family to a new home where the children can begin to heal.
• Covering immediate living expenses, therapy, and education costs.
• Ensuring they have access to the resources they need to rebuild their lives.
Taylor’s life was tragically cut short, but her dreams for her children don’t have to end. Together, we can ensure that these four bright souls are surrounded by love, hope, and opportunity.
Please donate, share this campaign, and help us give Taylor’s children and her mother Sandra Apodaca, my cousins a chance to build the life she so desperately wanted for them. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference.
I have organized this fundraiser for Taylor’s mother Sandra Apodaca and her Children. I am their cousin.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support during this difficult time.
