Hi everyone! My name is Taylor Barton and I'm a freshmen political science major from Vallejo, California. In 2 weeks I'll officially run my campaign to serve as the next Freshmen Council President for the College of Arts and Sciences (COAS) at Howard University.

I’m running on the platform C.L.U.E., which stands for:

Cultivate connection – building meaningful bonds within COAS and across campus

Legacy – uplifting the excellence of Howard’s COAS for future generations

Unifying students – making sure every voice feels valued and heard

Elevating the COAS experience – enhancing opportunities, resources, and representation for all freshmen

This campaign means a lot to me because it’s not just about a title — it’s about creating real impact, ensuring freshmen feel supported, and leaving a legacy of unity and leadership at Howard.
