As some of you know, my sister Taylor has a rare malformation called a cavernoma in her brain. This condition can cause bleeding episodes that lead to different neurological symptoms.

Recently, Taylor experienced her second bleed, and after many discussions and difficult decisions, her doctors have recommended surgery. This has been an incredibly overwhelming and scary time for Taylor, her husband James, and our entire family. We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers we’ve received. Your kindness has meant more than you know.

Many people have reached out asking how they can help, and we are truly touched by the way our friends have rallied around Taylor and James. Along with this health stress, the financial burden has been growing. Taylor has been unable to work for several weeks and will need at least a month of recovery, depending on how the surgery goes. James wants to be by Taylor’s side through her recovery, but being there for her means taking unpaid time away from work. We want to make it possible for Taylor and James to focus more on her healing and less on the bills and lost income. Our goal is simply to help lift some of that burden.

Their congregation has meals covered for the next few weeks, and family members are taking turns caring for the kids, so those immediate needs are met.
