Support Taylor & Baby Kohen

As many of you know, Taylor recently welcomed a beautiful baby boy, Kohen, into the world in mid-January. He has the brightest blue eyes and has already brought so much love to those around him.

During labor, there were serious complications that resulted in life-altering injuries for both Taylor and Kohen.

Kohen was flown to Children’s Hospital with neurological concerns that resulted in significant damage to his spinal cord and injury to the brain. This injury affects movement in his shoulder, arm, hand, neck, and even his eye. Currently, Kohen’s right arm is paralyzed, and some of his nerve roots were completely torn from the spinal cord during delivery. He will require spinal surgery in hopes of repairing the damage or regaining some function at the very least. He is being followed closely by a team of five specialists, along with occupational and physical therapists.

Taylor also suffered severe trauma during delivery. She was transferred to MedStar Washington Hospital Center, where she underwent a 4-hour emergency surgery involving four surgeons to save her life and begin repairing the damage. She will need a second surgery soon to correct additional injuries from the birth.

At this time, Mandy , Taylors mother, has been providing about 90% of the financial support for Taylor and Kohen. Due to the frequency and location of medical appointments, Taylor is unable to return to work. Because of Kohen’s spinal cord injury, he requires one-on-one care from someone specifically trained in brachial plexus injuries. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover this level of care, so a private-duty aide/nurse is needed when additional help is required.

Expenses are quickly adding up, including rent, utilities, frequent parking at Children’s Hospital (2–3 times per week), food during hospital stays, and ongoing medical and supply costs.

Taylor and Kohen have a long road ahead filled with surgeries, therapy, and recovery. Any support—whether through donations, sharing this page, or keeping them in your thoughts and prayers—would be deeply appreciated.

Thank you for standing with them during this incredibly difficult time.
