Support Tayler and Larry through Jett's NICU Journey

As many of you may know, Tayler and Larry were expecting their son to be born in August of 2025. A few weeks ago, at 26 weeks and 4 days pregnant, Tayler’s water broke. She was told that she would have to stay in the hospital until the baby was born. The doctors hoped the baby would stay put for at least 6 more weeks, but a few days later, Tayler went into labor due to severe pre-eclampsia and placental abruption. Jett was born weighing just over 2 lbs, and was immediately taken to the NICU. The doctors predict that he will be in the NICU until his original due date of August 2025. Tayler was expecting to work up until the end of July and then take maternity leave. With the unexpected turn of events, she will be out of work for at least 4-5 months with no maternity leave pay or FMLA. Larry is back to work already so that Tayler can be with Jett in the hospital, but he plans on taking his normal paternity leave when Jett comes home.

We don’t expect insurance to cover all of Tayler or Jett’s hospitalization due to out-of-network coverage, but we don’t have details on those expenses yet. We will update the goal as we get more information.
