Hi, my name is Taya, and I was recently diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. This fast-growing cancer attacks the blood and bone marrow, primarily affecting immature white blood cells called lymphoblasts. These abnormal cells crowd out healthy blood cells, leading to a range of serious symptoms. While there are two types of this cancer, I have the B-cell ALL type, which is rare in adults my age and comes with a particularly aggressive treatment plan.

Receiving this diagnosis has been devastating, and the road ahead is filled with uncertainty. As I begin treatment, I am unable to work, which means my daily living expenses are still accumulating. On top of that, I am facing significant travel costs to get to and from my treatments. Most importantly, I am a parent to a young child who is also greatly affected by this diagnosis. The thought of not being able to provide for my child during this time adds to the emotional and financial strain.
