Hello. My name is Tawnya and I’m raising money for my mom to help with medical cost and the expenses it has taken on my sister and myself trying to be there with her when two hospitals have neglected her causing more harm to her. My mom had a heart attack that brought her to the hospital where she then had a stent placed in her heart. After she complained of not being able to use her hand. The hospital waited days with an order for an MRI that they did not do and then my mom had a stroke and lost all right arm and right leg function. She was supposed to be transferred to a hospital that specializes in strokes and the case worker only called two places until I called her and threatened a law suit and then the next day she was moved to a hospital that the case worker never called before. My mom was still out of it when in ICU at the new hospital, but they decided to move her to PCU which is less monitored and she couldn’t even press the nurse button for help. The day after Mothers Day my mom passed out because she couldn’t breathe from mucus in her throat (even though I told the nurse the night before she was struggling to breathe and need to be suctioned deeper down and she had the procedure approved for that because the nurse from the ICU ran up with the order. The nurse chose not to do that. It lead to my mom passing out and then coded where she had to have CPR which broke her ribs. She then went into a coma and ventilator (this hospital should have been watching her oxygen levels from her monitor so this never happened, but she was neglected that caused her to pass out from no oxygen). She then went back to ICU were she has had ups and downs but has been staying strong and beating the odds everyday (she was this strong energetic person before and I see that still in her). My sister and niece have been amazing being with her everyday which has been hard on her financially (she has no money coming in and can’t keep up with the hotel stay and food) and mentally by being away from home and everything my mom has gone through. Myself and my family spent a little over two weeks with her in California while I currently live in Washington and that hurt my bank account. We went through the Palm Springs fertility bombing that caused me to miss my flight and put a lot of emotional stress on us all and caused me to be away from work longer. We are asking for help please with any donation you can make to help us be her support team and get her the medical care she needs. We appreciate everyone who has helped with anything .
