Maui Wildfire: Help Taverna Ohana Recover

On August 8, 2023, our beloved island of Maui faced devastating wildfires, leading to extensive destruction and heartbreak. Authorities evacuated many areas, fires reduced numerous homes to ashes, and the disaster disrupted countless lives.

Forty-six of our dedicated team members at Taverna Restaurant are among those affected. Tragically, twelve members of our Taverna Ohana have seen their homes entirely consumed by the flames. We are actively ensuring the safety and well-being of all our staff and will provide updates as soon as we have more information. As well several of these team members are presently cooking at the University of Hawai’i for community members who also have been displaced.

We request your support to help our Taverna team rise again during these challenging times. Rest assured, 100% of all donations will benefit our Taverna team members directly. All contributions will be managed by Taverna Restaurant's human resources department, ensuring swift and direct assistance to those most in need. The funds raised will be used to purchase essential items like clothing, food, and other necessities to support their immediate needs.
