Hello, my name is Tatyana Mallet. I am here because I am in dire need of getting my mother cremated. Unfortunately, my mom in June decided to give me a week break by taking my kids to a water park where they all got sick with COVID, flu, strep, pneumonia, and a 24-hour bug. However, I was able to get my children well. But for my mother, she wasn't fortunate. She went to the hospital on several occasions and each time her lungs got worse from pneumonia. Each time Saint David's South hospital kept my mother only up to two days, and she was given the wrong medicine, which led to her having an allergic reaction. August came, the doctors finally admitted my mom for long term stay. Once I had my little brother go with her to get them to let her stay. Told the doctors that it was an issue with her going two month sick with pneumonia. Once she was admitted the doctor put her in a medical coma and on an ECMO machine. As of September, Saint David's South Hospital called to say that they couldn’t do anything more after a month of helping her. The only other option was to transfer her to San Antonio Methodist Hospital where she passed on October 14th, 2025.
I have four children I care for and currently unable to pay for my mother’s cremation. Family is not helping so she’s just sitting at the morgue. If anyone is willing to share or donate anything I would truly appreciate the help given.
- This is an unexpected loss. We were told by staff that she was getting better until a second doctor called to tell me all her organs were failing. All while finding out that my mom was on five different medications and had an allergic reaction to every one. Those last two days she was placed on a dialysis machine for her kidney, and she happened to have lupus. My mother, in all her years of living, has not been sick or spoken of ever being sick. This has all been so sudden.
