Support Tatum's Fight for Her Kids' Safety

Donation protected
My name is Tatum. I’m a young mother of three.

I’m raising funds to help secure continued legal protection for my children and myself as we fight through an emotionally and legally complex domestic violence (DV) custody case. Every dollar will directly support legal representation to ensure my kids’ safety, stability, and future.

As a teenager, I fell into a toxic relationship I thought was love. I became a mother young, believing things would get better — but instead, they spiraled. My former partner (D) struggled with drug addiction and emotional instability, often being verbally abusive, unhelpful, and unsafe in the presence of our children. I once had to Narcan him while our two infant sons were in the home. I was only 18.

Over the years, I gave him chance after chance — trying to believe he could change. His family convinced me to stay quiet, to compromise, and even tried to create parenting plans that served their interests over our children’s safety. I was isolated, depressed, and unsupported.

I supported our boys on my own. He didn’t work. He got arrested for multiple DUIs. And when I began moving on and rebuilding with my current partner — a loving, consistent father figure to my boys — that’s when things escalated.

(D) became increasingly controlling again: stalking, threatening, involving family to keep tabs on me, spreading lies about me online, and now… trying to gain custody through the court system.

Despite a Domestic Violence Protection Order being granted through the Whatcom Superior Court (proving abuse and safety concerns), he continues to use the legal system to harass me. He’s actively fighting for custody rights that place our children at risk — and I’m doing everything in my power to protect them.

I’ve already paid over $10,000 in legal fees, and I’m struggling to keep up while being the sole provider. I have evidence, support from our doctors, and the truth on my side but legal help is expensive and justice isn’t free.

I just want my boys to live free from fear, pain, and instability. I want them to be protected in the way I never was.

Every single dollar raised will go directly toward: -Ongoing legal representation
-Emergency costs tied to the custody and protection order process
-Supporting a safe, stable home for my children

Whether you can give $5 or $500 — it means the world. And if you can’t donate, please share our story, Pray for us truly. You could help protect children from the generational trauma of domestic abuse.

We are on the path to becoming not just survivors but victors. Your support could be the final push we need to finally break free.

God bless you all ,
Tatum
