"You are more than just your diagnosis...
the most important part of life is to cherish it" -Tatum
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers, This is Tatum and this is her story...
(Tatum with the band Pierce the Veil)
Our world was turned upside down in January when our beloved Tatum, then just 14 years old, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Tatum is a bright, strong, and loving young girl who deserves the chance to experience all the joys of growing up. But now, she faces the toughest battle of her young life.
Tatum recently got to spend her #DREAMDAY with the band Pierce the Veil. In the wonderful video below you can meet Tatum and hear her speak about how she is more than her diagnosis:
"At just 15 years old, Tatum is battling a rare and aggressive soft tissue cancer. We wanted to do something special for her Dream Day so we invited her out to a show, brought her on the tour bus for a hang, set her up side stage for our set, and even let her play Vic’s guitar at the end of one of our songs. We are sending all our love as you continue to fight, Tatum! Keep holding on." - Pierce The Veil
Since her diagnosis, Tatum has endured countless tests, hospital visits, and difficult treatments, including chemotherapy and radiation. Despite everything, she continues to face each day with incredible strength, courage, and a smile that lights up any room she walks into.
As you can imagine, the medical costs for her treatment—along with travel expenses, medications, and other necessary care—have become overwhelming. We are reaching out to our community for support to ensure she receives the best possible care without the added burden of financial stress.
Your generous donation, no matter the amount, will go directly to:
- Medical treatments and hospital stays
- Travel and lodging for specialist appointments
- Essential medications and therapies
- Allowing our family to focus on what truly matters—being by Tatum’s side through this fight
If you're unable to donate, we completely understand. You can still help by sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, and social networks. Every share brings us one step closer to reaching our goal and ensuring Tatum gets the support she so deeply needs.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your kindness, prayers, and generosity during this challenging time. Together, we can give Tatum the strength and resources she needs to fight—and ultimately overcome—this cancer.
With love and gratitude,
Katie & Ryan
Update as of April 15, 2025: Tatum & her Mom, Katie, are in Greenville at the Cancer Center & Tatum is very sick right now. While there has been some good news in the last two weeks with a CT scan of her pelvis & femur showing improvement in the cancer (Originally, her PET scan showed cancer in her: left forearm, pelvis, femur & lung.) The cancer is still in her pelvis and lung as “hot spots” and they still feel the need to be very aggressive with her treatment. Please be in prayer for Tatum and Katie as she has to watch her baby go through so much pain.
