Support Tattoo Artist after Car Accident

Hi, I’m Citlali, Cynthia’s (Muno’s) sister. As some of you may know, my sister has had a series of unfortunate events in the last couple weeks that has affected her livelihood as a tattoo artist and business owner.

On July 27, around 9pm my sister was walking down El Camino Real in San Mateo where she was nearly hit by a speeding car. In true Cynthia fashion, she yelled “wtf, drive safe!”. The driver then made a quick u-turn, floored it, and hit her straight on.

She landed on the hood of the car and as she rolled off, she was able to crack one of the car windows with her phone before landing on the pavement.

The car then came back for another hit and ran over her foot as they sped away. It happened so fast that she did not get a license plate or car model - only that it was a grey 4-door sedan.

We have since contacted the police and filed a report as well as reached out to local shops and businesses nearby to help with the investigation.

After the collision and the adrenaline subsided, the pain started. She injured her dominant right arm/hand. This injury is crucial to her craft, income, and livelihood as a tattoo artist.

Adding to her bodily pain is the fact that she also had all of her wisdom teeth removed that same week, causing her added, not so common tooth, pain. In the last 3 weeks, we have made several emergency visits to the hospital for her unbearable pain and anxiety.

With her wisdom teeth extraction, being hit by a car, on top of her own cars engine blowing out that same day she was hit, one can imagine, she is unable to work while she recovers.

I set up this gofundme to help relieve some of the financial burden and help her take a minute to breathe, while she recovers mentally, emotionally and physically.

Hola soy Citlali, hermana de Cynthia (Muno). Como algunos de ustedes sabrán, mi hermana ha tenido un serie de eventos desafortunados en las últimas dos semanas que han afectado su habiladad de trabajar y manejar su propio negocio como tatuadora.

El 27 de julio, alrededor de las 9 PM, mi hermana caminaba por El Camino Real en San Mateo, donde casi la atropella un carro a alta velocidad. Cynthia gritó "¡wtf, conduce con cuidado!" y es cuando el carro hizo una vuela y la golpeó de frente. Ella saltó y cayo arriba del carro (capó) y, pudo quebrar una de las ventanas del carro con su teléfono antes de cair en el pavimento. Despues el carro regresó para otro golpe y atropelló su pie al huyir. Sucedió tan rápido que no obtuvo una placa ni un modelo del carro, solo que era un carro gris de 4 puertas. (ADD FOTO)

Desde entonces, nos comunicamos con la policía para hacer un reporte, y con tiendas locales para ayudar con la investigación. Afortunadamente, ella no se rompió ningún hueso, perso si se lastimo el torso, el brazo derecho, la mano dominante y sue pie (DERECHO/Izquierdo?). Ademas de lastimarze el cuerpo, también le extrajeron todas las muelas esa semana y su carro se fundió ese mismo día del acidente!

Esto afecta su forma de trabajar y ganar dinero como tatuadora. En las últimas dos semanas, hemos realizado varias visitas de emergencia al hospital por su gran dolor y ansiedad. Ella no puede trabajar mientras se recupera. Creé este gofundme para ayudar a aliviar parte de la carga financiera y ayudarla a tomarse un momento para respirar, mientras se recupera mental, emocional y físicamente.
