Support Tatiana's Recovery from Fire Loss
Donation protected
Hi! I am Rachel Pollack from Queen Creek, Arizona. I have been friends with Tatiana since we met in Colorado Springs in 1973.
On January 7, 2025, my friend Tatiana lost her home in the Palisades fire in Los Angeles. As the fire ignited in the hills, 100 mile-per-hour winds fanned the flames and drove the fire toward the village of Pacific Palisades. No formal evacuation notice had yet been given, even though embers were flying through the air and smoke was increasing. Worried, Tatiana attempted to drive to pick up her son from school, but so many people were trying to escape that traffic clogged Sunset Boulevard and cars were not moving. Tatiana eventually abandoned her car and raced on foot to the school. Once there, she could see the flames nearing. She managed to secure a ride to safety--but never could return home. She lost everything when her apartment building burned.
Tatiana and her son are safe yet reeling from this devastating loss. Anything you can contribute would be gratefully received. Like you, I hope to help my friend through this trying moment in her life.
Tatiana is looking for a new place to live, and once she secures new lodging, these funds will be used to buy furniture, clothing, kitchen goods, bedding, towels--all the everyday items we take for granted. (Funds will be transferred directly to Tatiana as GoFundMe makes them available.) Thank you!!!
