Hi,
My name is Tatiana. Due to a loss in business my job has dropped me from full-time to part-time. I've lost a significant amount of my income. I am 1.5 months behind on rent and about to lose my apartment. I thought I could work through this on my own, but things haven't gone well.
Any assistance will be going mainly towards paying my rent, then keeping up with bills, and food.
Thank you to those who have already helped me.
A further explanation:
My job, as of the past few months, was made to relocate. Business went tremendously down because of it, and at the beginning of September, they drastically started cutting my hours while increasing others in my position. The only reasoning I was given was "seniority" by the manager who made the schedule for that period. My other managers were uninformed of the situation and could not offer further explanation, though they assisted where they could.
I sent an email to my general manager who unfortunately was away for the week. Another week came, still low hours, no explanation. I got a response somewhere in-between, but due to more circumstances, I was still unable to get an explanation. My third week of scheduling, my hours increased, but still were below full-time hour requirements. I sent a follow-up email asking if I was being dropped to part-time,and received no response.
I kept talking to my other managers who kept pushing for a response from my gm. Close to the end of the third week, I met with the gm, who, a day before the next posted schedule, informed me that due to fewer hours to give, I was going to be dropped down to part-time. For the next week, I was scheduled only one day, the last week on the paycheck that was supposed to go towards rent. I’ve been mostly scheduled single day weeks since.
I am continuing to look for employment. The job that hired me has yet to start me. I am very short on income at the moment and will not have enough to pay my upcoming amount of rent.
Thank you,
Tatiana Moore
