Support Tate's Recovery After His Fall
Donation protected
Hi everyone, I'm reaching out as a friend trying to support an amazing friend I’ve known since middle school, and her family after a scary accident involving her 4-year-old son, Tate. A week ago, Tate fell from a second-story window while moving into their new house. Thankfully, he is going to be okay; he's a tough little guy, but he did suffer injuries including a broken femur that required surgery, a three-day hospital stay, physical therapy, and follow-up surgery in 6-9 months. It's been incredibly stressful for his parents, Michele and Chris. Between hospital bills, missed work, and helping Tate recover all while trying to move into a home, the costs are adding up fast. I started this GoFundMe to help ease some of the burden and allow them to focus fully on Tate's healing.
We also want to raise awareness about something many families don't think about until it's too late: window safety. Window screens are not strong enough to prevent a fall; they are meant to keep bugs out, not children in. These accidents can happen even with parents in the same room (like with Tate). Installing simple devices like window stops or guards can prevent windows from opening more than a few inches and can save lives. If it helps even one family take a closer look at their home, we'll be grateful.
Please consider donating or sharing this campaign to support Tate, Michele, and Chris and to spread awareness. Thank you so much for your love and support!
